About me
I am a professional artist bringing online tutorials, physical courses, workshops and demonstrations to art groups and individuals throughout the UK and abroad. I also sell my paintings on my website and in galleries.

How I use your information
The information I hold about my customers are only the details you provide, either by making a purchase, booking a course or joining my mailing list. This information is solely for the purposes of invoicing or for contacting you, either in relation to a course booking or for introducing you to my courses, workshops and exhibitions.

Courses
If you book a physical course you are asked to provide your name, address, telephone number and email address. This is so that I have a few ways of contacting you for processing the booking and also in case I need to cancel or make changes to a course. Your details will be kept in a password protected PC. The data is not shared, analysed or sold to any third parties and its sole purpose is for contacting you about the course only.

For online courses, only your name and email address are required. For the purposes of receiving your coursework, you will need to be included in my mailing list, after which you may unsubscribe at any time.

Mailing list
I use the Mailchimp platform to bring you information regarding my courses, workshops and exhibitions. The only information I require are your name and email address. I only send out occasional mailings. You are free to change your details or unsubscribe at any time, using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

I never share your details with anyone else. All payments made through my website are secure and I do not see, record or store any of your payment information.

Demonstration enquiries
If you enquire about a demonstration or workshop for an art group you will be providing me with your name, telephone number and email address so that we can make contact about the booking. Your details are kept as a point of contact only for the booking and are not held on any database unless you specifically request it, such as ‘add me to your mailing list’.

Invoicing
Any invoice addressed to you, will include your name and address. No sensitive data such as credit card details are handled or stored by me. Your invoice forms part of my accounting records, which have to be kept for seven years for the purposes of HMRC and Tax. The invoices are shared each tax year with Armitages LTD, chartered accountants for the purposes of tax calculation, after which Armitages LTD have no further use for them.

How your invoice records are kept.
Up until 1st April 2019, paper copies of invoice records are kept in a locked cabinet and electronic details of the same are kept in a password protected file. Only I have access to those records. From 1st April 2019 onwards, details are stored in a password protected electronic invoicing system with no paper copies created. Details of accounts beyond seven years of age are destroyed.

Use of Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer's hard drive which helps to analyse web traffic or gathers and remembers information about your preferences. A cookie in no way gives me access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with me. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to automatically decline cookies or to give you a choice of accepting or declining them whenever they are detected. However, this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

If at anytime you follow links away from my site, you should note that I do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Purchasing from my site is easy and secure. Simply add your items to cart and view them at any time by clicking the view cart link. When you are ready to make your purchase click checkout. Your transaction is processed by a third party payment app in a safe and secure environment.
