FROM A MESS TO SUCCESS IN ACRYLIC

Acrylic is far more versatile than many people give it credit. In this workshop you will be encouraged to let go, capturing expressive brush marks that will enhance your painting further down the line. From a mess to success has been my mantra for years and describes the gradual tightening of a painting through the layering process. If you desire to loosen up your work, this is the workshop for you. The day will begin with some loose painting exercises to warm you into the session, followed by a full demonstration painting utilising the process of mess to success. Afterwards you will enjoy the opportunity to create your own painting using the mess to success method.

What to bring

Reference material to work from (usually a few photographs), acrylic paints, (bring your own colours including titanium white), matt medium, surface to work on such as acrylic paper or canvas, spare paper for exercises, brushes, water pot, palette, kitchen roll, masking tape, water spray, 6B pencil, putty rubber, table covering, old shirt or apron. Please bring your own packed lunch.
