painting of shadows cast onto a lane with figures in the distance en route for Pateley Bridge

En Route For Pateley Bridge

Looking at the painting it is difficult to tell that moments before I arrived at this subject, there had been a huge thunderstorm that drove us to take to a storm shelter. The place was called Rain Stang, an appropriate name for that section of high ground. The painting depicts the moments after the storm as we headed en route for Pateley Bridge.
