Deep Shadows Of A Summer Afternoon

Watercolour depicts light so well, so it was my first choice for a subject like this where intense summer light is illuminating the scene. The low angle casts strong deep shadows, which I always enjoy painting for the way they break a subject into dynamic shapes.
